Fosun Pharma continues improving the “Future Star” public welfare system
On November 30, 2012, Fosun Group, together with Fosun Pharma and FORTE Group formally announced the launch of Fosun Public Welfare Foundation in Beijing. As a leader of China’s medical industry, Fosun Pharma will see more development opportunities in public welfare & charity and social responsibility after the listing in Hong Kong.
Recently, Fosun Pharma took new moves in social responsibility with greater investment on education and public welfare & charity in medical field. On November 20, Fosun Pharma provided RMB 3 million for incentive fund of “Tan Jia Zhen Life Sciences Prize” to motivate China’s life sciences professionals to persist in innovation and promote the industrialization of research findings in life sciences. On November 30, “Fosun Children Rehabilitation Program” was formally launched to offer necessary medical services for orphans and children from poor families through donating US$ 200 thousand to “Unified Foundation for Children’s Health”, the charity arm of Unified Family Healthcare. Fosun’s donation will be used for operations of orphans from child welfare institutions that have partnerships with the foundation in Beijing and Shanghai, which will enable them to receive good medical services and to be successfully adopted for healthy growth in their families.

It is reported that the newly launched “Fosun Public Welfare Foundation” is a non-public funding foundation with original fund valued RMB 10 million, which is aimed to help the disadvantaged through disaster assistance, medical aid, helping the poor and handicapped and funding public cultural undertakings, educational undertakings and the young people in entrepreneurship and employment. In the future, Fosun Pharma will continue improving “Future Star” public welfare system and devote to public welfare in cooperation with various circles of society to promote Chinese economy and renaissance of Chinese culture.
