Fosun Pharma Ranked 22nd of the 2011 Pharmaceutical Industry Top 100

From August 17th to 19th, the 29th National Pharmaceutical Industry Information Annual Meeting, with the theme of “innovation, responsibility, outwitting”, was held successfully in Nanjing this year. Fosun Pharma ranked 22nd in the Pharmaceutical Industry Top 100 announced in the meeting. Zheng Hong, the Director of the State Ministry of Health Department of Pharmaceutical Administration, and Wu Haidong, Vice Director of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Department of consumer goods industry were invited to the meeting and made speeches. Li DongJiu, Senior Vice President and Director of Pharmaceutical Management Committee was invited to attend the meeting.

The Pharmaceutical Industry Information Annual Meeting is known as “industry leader” and has a history of nearly 30 years. The meeting invited various senior experts from the government, the industry and the enterprises in the following three fields of the policy studies, industry trend and product technical innovation, to discuss the development of China pharmaceutical industry innovation in the new situation. The overall size of the selected Top 100 Enterprises continued to make breakthrough compared to that of last year, and it realized main business revenue RMB 464.772 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.35%. The top 5 were Guangzhou Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Xiuzheng Pharma, Yangtze Pharma, Harbin Pharma, and Shanghai Pharma. It is reported, the ranking is based on the industry recognized official data source Chinese Medical Statistical Yearbook, and the comprehensive rankings are according to the main business revenue of last year’s national pharmaceutical industry. Li Dongjiu said, “The elected enterprises are pharmaceutical enterprises with better economy benefit and stronger development momentum strong. Fosun Pharma will further focus on the advantage resources and vigorously develops its core pharmaceutical business, so as to improve its industry competitiveness.”
